So, here we are! Is this cool or what?
We had been considering doing this for quite a while now. Problem was finding really good locations: Places that do not try to boost their traffic with campers, where one is in the company of good designers, where the mall itself is tastefully built...
I found out about the D.C. District mall through the landmark of a hair designer I spotted at the hair fair. I was very impressed by the simple, clean, dark (;-) design of the mall as well as the level of the output of the designers whose work is featured here.

The colors slowly changing by the dance of the ingredients, the aroma wafting into the room like the finest silk on the skin, and the texture of the food melting on the tongue have inspired us to create this collection. Cooking has been our meditation time through which we ground ourselves, and we connect to the joy of life. In this collection, inspired by Persian food, the fabric, the colors, and the lines give impression to a series of dishes. The waltz of food and fashion, presented in this series, activates the joy of life in us, and takes us back into the sensation of a pause in the day, and the pleasure around the table.
ARTIST BIOS
NAZANIN BASHI-I’ve been a fashion designer since 2008. The main sources of my design inspirations are traditional Persian art, design, and techniques. I use these ideas to create something modern.
HASTI is the artistic one of a kind label created by Hasti Homayoun. As an Iranian-Canadian textile & accessories designer, her designs are the combination of elements from nature, art and Persian culture with modern and contemporary style. Deep passion for craft and the creative process drives her using range of handmade techniques to create wearable art pieces, full of textures and forms.

The old Celtic harvest feast Lughnasadh is held in honour of this god. To this day heathens and Celtics alike celebrate this feast yearly around the first of August, also on Castlefest!
Castlefest is een festival ter ere van de zon, die bij de Kelten werd vereerd als de god Lugh. Deze god bracht de mensen veel goede dingen. Zo leerde hij ons om graan te verbouwen en hij verwarmt de aarde, zodat het graan kan rijpen en wij te eten hebben. Het oude Keltische oogstfeest Lughnasadh is aan deze god gewijd.
